It’s a hard world out there, and kids need some toughening up. They spend so much time trying to “protect” children from being children. They are actually hurting kids more than they know. Today, as far as kids go, there are no more winners or losers. They want everything to be fair and nicey nice. It’s all a load of crap.
We are raising a generation of little pansy azz wussies.
I’d like to add that I would like to see kids play dodge ball with bowling balls. Then they would have an excuse for saying they got hurt. Little wussies.
Growing up, we played rough tackle football on the black top of the local school yard. The way I look at it is this……..If you didn’t come home, dirty and bloody, it wasn’t that fun of a day.

Yes, children need to exercise. I played these things when I was young and I turned out fine. All these damn parents are being too overprotective with their children so thats why the schools are stopping all the fun stuff that way these anal parents dont sue or something.
at my old school last year we played dodgeball…. and theys till do. i think its ok. i dont think tho that they should use like dodgeball balls cuz that can hurt. we used like foam balls. they accually do work to play and its really fun!!!
Yes we should play those games. We played them back in the day (80′s) so why wouldn’t we be able to play them now……..those are fun games. Too many parents complain about everything anymore……I have four kids and if they are going to cry over a rubber ball hitting them then they need to toughen up.
I don’t think dodge ball should be allowed in Elementary or Middle school, but I do think it is alright in High school.
I used to be a summer camp counselor to young children and some of the immature camp counselors made the game so aggressive that kids were crying and parents complained. Then the boss said no more dodge ball.
yea so that kids dont grow up to be lil babies and learn how to get hurt ,dodgeball is a fun game!

Well, depending on where you live, dodge ball has already been banned at school. At my school, dodge ball is not allowed. i think that is not fair because it is a classic sport that is enjoyable. The government probably is trying to banned it because they think it is a dangerous sport. Well, I believe that all sports and games are risky. For example, football and basketball are sports in which someone can hurt themselves, but those are popular and not going to be banned. But little games like tag, dodge ball and red rover are getting banned!!!! Instead of using the rubber balls, we can use foam like or soft instead of just banning the game completely. I think that is not fair and we should play whatever we want.
Dodgeball is fun! Students love them (ex. me and my school)
We play it during gym. I have no idea about red rover and tag, we dont play that at our junior high school
