Boston Anarchy DC Win the First Dodgeball Champions Tour

Boston Anarchy DC celebrate winning the first Dodgeball Champions Tour at Dodgeball Arena CDMX

Boston Anarchy DC are the first-ever Dodgeball Champions Tour champions. The American club defeated Leamington Spartans Dodgeball 18–10 in the final at Dodgeball Arena CDMX on April 4, capping a dominant two-day run through the inaugural DCT Mexico City 2026 tournament.

The Road to the Final

Drawn into Group B—widely tagged as the “Group of Death” in pre-tournament analysis—Boston Anarchy navigated the tournament’s toughest path to the knockouts. They opened with a 16–10 win over Paris Licorne and battled to a hard-fought 13–13 draw with London Storm, which many thought had sealed their fate, as they were to face the tournament favorites in the Vienna Nutcrackers.

The star-studded Austrian side, stacked with multiple national team World Champions and flagged by the DCT Insights ✨ model as pre-match favorites (65% win probability versus 32% for Anarchy), had already been beaten 21–12 by London Storm earlier the same day, so one of the two juggernauts was going to be eliminated from championship contention before the knockouts even began. Anarchy would go on to dismantle Vienna Nutcrackers 19–8 in the group’s defining moment, and even take the group’s lead on set difference.

Day two would see Boston Anarchy face long-time rivals Phoenix Hex in the semifinal. It was a direct rematch of the USAD Premier Tour Semifinal, in which Phoenix Hex eliminated Anarchy by a two-set margin. At Dodgeball Arena CDMX, Anarchy flipped the script, grinding out a 15–13 win to send their domestic rivals home and punch their ticket to the DCT final.

The Final: Anarchy Unleashed

The final pitted Leamington Spartans—tied with Phoenix Hex for the most sets won in the group stage at 60 apiece—against a Boston Anarchy side that had already navigated the tournament’s toughest bracket. The DCT Insights ✨ model, which runs live win-probability calculations set by set, tracked a dramatic early swing as Anarchy swept the opening four sets to open an 8–0 lead. From that moment onward, the model’s championship probability for Anarchy climbed sharply and never came back down.

When the dust settled, Anarchy won 18 points to the Spartans’ 10—the largest set-margin of any knockout match in the tournament. The team stats told the story: Anarchy out-killed Leamington 49 to 37, but the decisive gap came in the catching battle, where Anarchy’s 12 catches to Leamington’s 4 repeatedly converted Spartans pressure into Anarchy reinforcements. Individually, Adam Hill was unplayable for the champions: 46 throws, 16 kills, 4 catches, and was caught just once the entire final. On defense, Brandon Kelley had the dubious distinction of being the most eliminated player on the Anarchy side, with 9 eliminations. For Leamington, Ryan Neale led the line with 10 kills and Matt Sood topped his team on throws with 29—but neither could answer Hill’s onslaught. In the end, across their five-match championship run, Boston Anarchy won 81 sets and conceded just 54.

“This tournament was everything we dreamed it would be and more,” said Armando Valdes, Managing Director of the Dodgeball Champions Tour. “Eight incredible clubs came to Mexico City and gave everything they had on the court. I’ve been playing and watching dodgeball for 15 years, and this is one of the most entertaining tournaments I have ever seen. At the same time, this is only the beginning.”
